WAVERLY, Ohio (August 29, 2012) – Local  students will have the opportunity to receive free vitamins each month for this 2012-2013 school year thanks to the generosity of Fruth Pharmacy.  The Free Vitamin Program will provide each student with a coupon book with 12 coupons which can be redeemed each month at the local Fruth Pharmacy for a 30 day supply of Fruth Children’s Multivitamin.  The vitamins are free, and there is no additional purchase required.  Since good nutrition is so important to growing children, Fruth Pharmacy is pleased to offer the opportunity for students at local schools to receive vitamins each month.

Lynne Fruth, President of Fruth Pharmacy, first heard of the Free Vitamin Program at the Southern Drug Association meeting last fall. Fruth began working with the Mason Vitamin Company to produce the Fruth Children’s Multivitamin to be distributed to local school children.  As a former teacher in West Virginia, Fruth immediately thought about the impact that free vitamins could have on the children at local schools.  As a result, Eastern, Jasper and Western Elementary, and  Zahns Corner Middle School were selected as some of the first sites to try the Free Vitamin Program.  If you have any questions about the Fruth Free Vitamin Program, or to inquire about your school participating in the future, please contact Barbara Taylor at the Fruth Corporate Office at 304-675-1612.
